The land of the watermills

We walk up the Val Foglio where back in the 1500 the first water mills were constructed for woodworking. Not much is left of these workings and one must search amongst the ruins to find any signs of this ancient craft. The return is by way of a long walk beside the Strona torrent passing the little hamlet of Marmo to see an example of an old laboratory. At Fornero there is a typical restaurant and the possibility of buying local crafts.
