An interesting drive to the capital of Lombardy,
Milan – a thriving industrial city. On arrival we meet our official city guide to visit the city on foot and by coach. We visit the Sforza Castle, the
Monumental Cemetery where Toscanini was buried, the Arch of Peace (sister to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris), the Cathedral which is the centre of Milan and a pedestrian area where there are also many elegant shops and pass through the famous arcade “La Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II” as far as
Piazza Scala where there is a statue of Leonardo da Vinci with four of his pupils. Free time to visit La Scala museum and see inside the theatre, more sightseeing and shopping, before joining the coach and returning to Lake Maggiore.
